The RSAA Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre – Stage 1 has been designed to accommodate the Mechanical Design Department, Electronics Design Department, Optics Manufacturing, the Integration Hall and associated support area.

The internal spaces are entirely functional and designed to meet the user requirements and observe good environmental strategies. Sustainable design features: Mixed mode air-conditioning to office spaces, automated louvers at high level to assist cooling in summer, sunshades and good north facing orientation and well insulated facade, roof and underside of floorslabs, the use of low VOC carpets and paints and rainwater harvesting for irrigation.
