The Canberra International Airport Central Terminal has been refurbished and extended to accommodate to the rising number of flights and passengers between Canberra and Australia’s major cities.

A world class standard development, the Central Terminal is truly Canberra’s transport gateway. New facilities include a new departure lounge, business lounge, newsagency, cafe and a bar. Included in this development is the new car parking facilities, the apron extension and extended services from several major airlines.

The Central Terminal is part of a long term 2020 Airport Masterplan which comprises of the future expansion of the existing building required by the constantly increasing number of daily flights. This includes providing ground services for the new domestic airline Virgin Blue.
