Brand Depot was a new retail concept for Canberra, situated at the Majura Precinct of Canberra Airport. The overall concept was to add a retail environment to the expanding airport infrastructure and to bring a factory outlet shopping experience to Canberra. Brand Depot is a high quality industrial-style building of approximately 20,000sqm gross floor area combining Stage One and Two developments. The striking steel entry canopy clearly defines its architectural character and the steelwork contrasts with the precast concrete panels behind. The high ceiling, exposed services and bright interiors create warm and energetic spaces. The building is finished with a combination of steel, concrete and glass. Each tenancy is divided by steelwork and a clear glazing facade. The main polished concrete concourse, with a combination of boldly coloured walls and the bright yellow fabric ducts, forms a dynamic warehouse theme.
